So I’m not sure why more than a thousand tech industry leaders, including Elon Musk and Steve Wozniak, signed an open letter on March 22 calling for “all AI labs to immediately pause for at least 6 months the training of AI systems more powerful than [Open AI’s] GPT-4.” I wrote about how to implement effective AI governance in 2020.
